How good of a Windows 98 laptop does this make for Childhood educational games that require 256 colors and games with Sound Blaster 16? It uses Neo Magic Media:

Broderbund made a series of games called Playhouse/Treehouse and Backyard which my favorite was The Treehouse and it requires SB16 or you get the game but either beep speakers or no sound unless you have the appropriate sound card which then it sounds great! I am wondering how NeoMagic works for laptops? I never have heard of them for either audio nor graphic displays.

Also the pictures never show if it has full range of colour or just monochrome and 16 bit only which does no good for most of my games that require exactly 256 colors which you select before starting and say 'Use this without restarting'.

Just use a DOS emulator on any PC, like DOSBox. The website even shows that The Treehouse is supported. Didn't check the others in the series, but I'm sure they'll run fine too.

I'm not talking about emulator. I'm asking about Neomagic and it's compatiblity with this laptop? I know about Dosbox I use the Daum version on my main PC all the time and PCEM for the Windows based games that D-Box doesn't do which is a lot of em.
