/u/TheRealPanzer /u/jumba_jukiba this may just be a satisfactory solution. It can store the metadata in .json files in hidden folders and there's an Android app. I need to test it, though. I don't like that I have to use their GUI, but perhaps it isn't hard to develop CLI tools. It's FOSS.
