The activist IRC operators who kept Freenode running all had a cry-in and organized a coup of technical IRC members, who donate their time, by lying about circumstances and touting fear-based nonsense...taking the Freenode intellectual property and decades of earned user-ship, and moved it to new IRC they could control Liberia. They did this when the Freenode ownership changed hands and wanted to enforce free-dom of speech back to free-node which was overrun by censoring operators and open source project destroying code of conduct social change campaigns. Their main argument was that the new owner was "Trump-Like."
