Some Windows XP-era laptops using 5400 RPM spinning hard drives can allegedly be forced to crash when exposed to Janet Jackson's 1989 hit "Rhythm Nation."

Really? Are they just figuring this out in 2022?

33 years later???

And the title happens to be "Rhythm Nation".

Maybe they are forecasting a built in zero-level vulnerability cyber attack?
33 years later.

The Sega Saturn CD interface will also malfunction while playing Sonic Youth's "Daydream Nation" album.

Isn't this the basic definition of outlets such as CNN and BBC?...All media is bullshit when you think about it.

This is interesting if legit. I still use a number of old laptops that probably have drives like this. But anyone who would listen to that music deserves what they get.

All the 2005 fedora wearing nerds are all dead by now. Or competently dead inside from loneliness.

Ah, but their indomitable spirit lives on.

Whenever a man professes to like "everything but Country and Rap"

Whenever a young acolyte declares the women at his school "unworthy harlots"

Anywhere two or more gather in the name of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Mensa, or the Satanic Temple

    Their spirit endures.

Ask not for whom the Fedora tips. It tips for thee.

Strangely enough playing "Straight Up" has the opposite effect - the computer runs faster. Probably because it's such a fucking banger.
