tl;dr: because cars are complicated, and because you can pirate movies, you won't be able to have a computer that does whatever you want in the future.

The whole thing is right on the bubble between outright FUD and science fiction.

And then there is RISC V, hometinkered fpga's like i do e.g. or ASICS and even analogue computers those asshats can't project their overboarding greed on.

Open hardware is hard but we got the Raspi and its clones anyways, e.g. .

If i had more money or juice i'd give my own chipdesign to China to mass-produce. But gotta make some more monies first because they only take these kind of orders upwards of 10000 chips (except for samples), you know? If i wanted just another tick to steal my stuff, i already had done it.

CISC is already dead since about twenty years. These greedy motherfuckers just didn't realize it so far.
