If you're unhappy with the sniffers you can buy one of those routers and install your VPN on that. There are ways to work around the sniffers but it's technical.

I question that it's a good idea not to use a VPN.

I agree and that is why I have used one for years. I realized that someone or something was in my computer just before the VPN came up for renewal. I asked for comments on saidit before but you are the first one to respond so based on your response, I will renew it. I ran Internet security software and found four flagged bits of software that I immediately deleted. Now I run the security software almost everyday but no more problems. Thanks much for your response. Warning to other users. Don't believe those who tell you Apple computers cannot get this type of bug.
