Yeah. And then read about "kinetic weapons" aka "rods from god". If they can harness small/medium asteroids that would miss earth and instead aim them at countries they don't like...
On the positive side it could be a great way to harvest resources... or one could be put in orbit around the earth, like a smaller moon or giant space station... that'd be interesting.
