It's coming. Maybe this will replace abortions. If possible, take the fetus, transplant and grow in an artificial womb.
Human embryos have been created and successfully grown this way. Like the article states, there is an accepted rule that says it is unethical to continue this past 14 days. NPR's Radiolab has an episode about this. The researchers in this article want to keep human embryos alive for at least 40 days for tissue harvesting.
