Why Essence over anything else?

Why the fox symbolism?

f = 6 (The sixth letter in the alphabet)

"reduction" is adding numbers to a smaller value (yeah, it doesn't make sense. I didn't make it up)

o = 15 = 1+5 = 6

x = 24 = 2+4 = 6

fox = 666...
It's symbolism. It doesn't have to make sense, assuming the message is communicated to the insiders.

    That's Gitlab's logo.

    I suspect they rebranded when they were taken over.

    Really, it's a pentagon (pentagram), with one side (top) pressed in toward the center.

    It's also formed of 3 identical isosceles triangles.

    It interesting that the previous logo was a tanuki.

    Super Mario transformed into one in SMB3.

    It's no longer a tanuki.

    It's a fox, formed from 3 triangles, all day long.
    Masonic AF.

      Masonic shit (and every group for that matter) copies designs from other things (for example: black-white checkerboards) because the basis of design is very limited and doesn't have many options when it comes to architectural primitives.

      How about these similarities:

      Masonic orange:

      Possibly symbolic of this.

        Yeah, it's not a tanuki (agreeing with the image you provided).

        Any 1st grader would tell you it's a fox.

        The folks at GitHub aren't stupid.
