If you plan on using Linux as your daily driver I recommend AMD for graphics cards as performance is better than Nvidia(for Linux). My Radeon RX 560 does 4K pretty well except for certain games(some games run smoothly in 3K) and for anything non-gaming related works great(except some apps that don't scale well and leave you with a tiny UI and minuscule fonts). This video card should satisfy your needs.
