You bought it. There are better power strips they just cost a few dollars more. Don't blame someone for making exactly the thing you choose to buy.

But if we bought the proper power strip, then we couldn't complain about it on social media. The poorly designed power strips are a psyop conspiracy!

The design intent is to save space for wall outlets.

Huh, I always thought it was trying to take up more room in order to stop the outlet from getting overloaded.

Like, be a really big plug and no other plugs can hang out with him.

They're actually converting AC to DC for electronic devices, so there's a lower amp load than most AC plugs.

They are larger, because the converter which converts alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) is connected at that location, so the converter doesn't hang from less durable wiring (wire strain), or become a tripping hazard, etc.

The power supply on many newer laptops have a typical ac plug-in at the outlet end, and place the converter somewhere in the middle of the power supply cable.

The easy solution to this is to purchase a set of short extension cords for about $10.

If you're planning on using these in a bedroom (or theater room, or dark environment) then do not purchase the ones with the internal LED lights.

Everyone is taking this so literally like it's really my problem.

It's just a repost from Reddit.

I thought it was quirky funny like a big truck being trapped by two Mini cars that are parking too close.

Jason,

Some of us are trying improve your outlet availability... and bring more sunlight into your depressed... dreary... dismal... suboptimal... powerstrip life experience.

I'm an emotionally retarded individual, so I struggle to connect to others, and I have to wear a helmet whenever I'm outdoors.

I close my eyes tight when crossing over bridges, but have learned to soar like an eagle when discussing household electronics.

;-)

I also wear a helmet! But I wear it all the time. It's made of tinfoil. If you don't touch it, as you might be shocked, you can stick it in my available gaping outlet anytime.

But seriously, it makes me sad that 1) I posted this, and of all the things 2) it gets more attention than more important stuff.

I share your pain.

I don't think you do.

For years now I've had problems with my right back teeth. When I was 18 I had my wisdom teeth taken out. They gave me 3 and said the other one broke - yet they didn't give me the pieces. I think they didn't get the 4th one out. Fuckers.

For over a month now it's been getting worse. Now I can barely think straight. My mood is good otherwise making this an even worse waste. I'd rather be depressed and in pain so that when I'm in a good mood I can be productive.

I don't think eating all these pills are good for me. But the pain shoots down my jaw to the tips of my front teeth, on the right, up into my ear, down my neck from my tonsils to below my Adam's apple, and on occasion even over my shoulder to my triceps.

And I'm already out of money this month. I'm ready to go crazy. I might even go to a hospital.

Yo...! That is the worst.

Tooth aches are a non-functional injury that takes you out.

Non-functional in the sense that if you slip a disk in your neck/back, or have an abdominal injury then you're immobilized.
Brain injuries also fall in this category, except they're worse.

You can physically walk around with a severe toothache, but your brain is disabled by the heavy weight of the swelling, and intermittently lanced with agony by the slightest movement.

If you were in the US I'd suggest staying home, cause healthcare cost billions.

I doubt many orthodontist are scheduling appointments, though.

If you are using a regular wall outlet where the prongs face the "normal" way, this type of power supply is designed Just Right.

It's the outlet strip that is wrong. Buy one that has the prongs going the "normal" way.
