Good. Tech bubble 2.0 here we come. It's time for a freer internet with more choices, not this creepy Orwell monopoly thing that it seems to be becoming. It's good to know people have limits.

I hope it ushers in a domino effect in which 'pundit opinions' aren't 'the source to understand an event'.

Like the Buddha said in the Kalama Sutta:

“Now, Kalamas, don’t go by reports, by legends, by traditions, by scripture, by logical conjecture, by inference, by analogies, by agreement through pondering views, by probability, or by the thought, ‘This contemplative is our teacher.’ When you know for yourselves that, ‘These qualities are skillful; these qualities are blameless; these qualities are praised by the wise; these qualities, when adopted & carried out, lead to welfare & to happiness’ — then you should enter & remain in them.

  • Note that 'the pundits' are imho not considered wise.

Yeah I think we are at least seeing an era where people have more than 3 options for where they get their news. This alone will widen the viewpoints available. I guess the only danger is if a person gets too comfortable in echo chambers and doesn't challenge themselves.

That indeed, even when still now Politics, clickbait-media and social-media seem all driven by making those comfy echochambers so they can be guaranteed of your vote/clicks/views.

Instead of 'not-caring' if some people respectfully disagrees they still try to herd everyone in because that's in their best interest.
