It sounds like the fact there's no reliable test for it is a huge part of why it's having trouble being contained. They're letting people go who actually have it, without realizing it

It must not be deadly if they're having so many false negatives.
Edit: it's also possible that the actually developed a flu that could affect individuals based on genetic features.
I seriously doubt this is the case, as interactions between the immune system, genetic factors, and epigenetic factors remain a mystery.
If they did develop something like this, then it was trial and error +luck. The actual causal interactions are generally unknown. These dipshits are playing with genetic fire.
