Some neat robos there, but still a far cry from what is expected of them.

Seems like a big part of the show was hype-building. Putting out concepts, demos and the very beginning stages of tech/ideas to get a feel for how the public reacts to them and build hype as the technology is further developed. The AI towards the end for NEON, looks like something pretty serious.. They said they were looking into using it for retail, banking, anything that used face-to-face interactions. That could potentially cost people a lot of jobs in the future.

Just off the top of my head, I could imagine it being applied to secretaries, bank-tellers, greeters/door-men, fast-food chains, museums, digitally/AI lead tours, telemarketing, political campaigning (and what if they were to tailor a special version to work on music.. Or to do musical tours? It's only a matter of time until we get our "first AI celebrity".) etc, the list goes on.. The applications where they could apply such technology seems like it has the potential to take over human's roles in many jobs that require basic sales, face-to-face interaction or even phone calls when you let your imagine run with the concept and goals she described.
