I think we've gone overboard with the smart devices thing. I get the usefulness of a connected thermostat and security systems, but do we really need smart refrigerators, ovens, toilets, and trash cans? Just seems like another way to collect more data about us.

Reminds me of Alexa or that door bell thing where couriers can literally open the door to your house and place the parcel inside. I find it pretty fucked up to be honest, a lot of people are either risking privacy for conveniance or are just too dumb to know it.
