TODO list for Slide's release!

This is a list of stuff that still has to be done until the app can be released. Meanwhile, you can grab dev builds here!

Necessary stuff:

  • [X] Port Slide's fork of JRAW to use the saidit API
  • [X] Make it use saidit's double vote
  • [X] Clicking the edit post button crashes the app
  • [X] User's insightful votes are being taken out of the displayed score on their own posts/comments
  • [ ] Make double voting actually not look like crap
  • [/] Replace frontpage with /s/all, /s/home and /s/subscribed (partially done, you have to reset your app data to have them show up currently)
  • [ ] New app icons
  • [ ] New misc textures (e.g. vote icons, banner)
  • [ ] New default sub list when logged out (currently has a lot of reddit subs that don't exist here)
  • [ ] Subs all have the default color as opposed to on reddit. Investigate?
  • [ ] Remove "controversial" icon or replace it with something else that shows if a comment is more insightful or fun
  • [X] Set up CI for dev builds
  • [X] Set up certificate for signed builds
  • [ ] Publish on FDroid
  • [ ] Publish on Play Store

Personal tweaks:

  • [ ] Remove "Get YouTube App" message when it isn't installed, instead directly open external app

After first release:

More stuff will be added as needed.

What do you mean by custom themes? You can already change a lot of the UI colors and stuff in Slide.

I was thinking about making some vector icons for the light and smiley face for the mobile version, and maybe M7D3 might either guide me or just adopt them. Could do for you too.

Yeah, that would be very much appreciated. The ones on that page look great, whenever I try making icons they always come out looking like crap, haha.

Thanks! You can actually already use it, if you download the latest debug build from the CI server. That's actually what I'm doing to browse saidit on my phone.

Since I can't edit OP due to the following point 1, here's a temp list:

  • clicking the edit post button crashes the app fixed
  • it explicitly excludes your insightful votes on your own posts (no idea why that was a thing in the first place, probably because of vote fuzzing?) fixed
