I have been looking into current AI capabilities and I am finding that a lot of it is basically fake. That is, you watch a demo and it looks like AI is extremely advanced, but when you try it out yourself it is nothing like the demo. Even GPT-3 is no where near as advanced as the demo makes it out to be. Also, a text to image engine I tried struggles with one word requests, let alone complete sentences - it is totally useless.
But one AI stands out as being particularly impressive, even when I try it out myself, and that is this:

Seeing the bad quality of the other AIs makes me wonder: Are these photos really completely AI-generated? How "original" are these images? Are there images that are very similar to the generated images in the training data? Are the artifacts in some of these images just there for show?
