I'm no MCU fanboy in any sense, if that's what you're implying.

No, I didn't mean to imply anything, just kind of ranting about the state of movie-fare these days. It isn't even just Disney, the whole industry has learned that with these intellectual property movies, they can make quite mediocre or even outright terrible content and still make money off of us consumers. I just miss the days when content was more original. I agree with most of what you said in your post, but I do think they are getting away with it, I haven't seen Disney be hurt by their half-assed marvel efforts, in general those movies make money

Marvel movies have been flopping for the past two years and before "Velma" and the Netflix "Cleopatra" movie, "She Hulk: Attorney at Law" was the worst (lowest rated) television show of all time.

Black Widow was the harbinger, and then we had all of 2022 with Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (the first MAJOR sign of bad MCU movies to come), followed by Thor Love and Thunder, which people hated, followed by Wakanda Forever, which was out-the-ass woke and people DESPISED for its anti-male messaging and making the Atlanteans "Sea Aztecs," followed by Ant Man: Quantummania, which was the final sign Marvel was dead. People actually liked Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and I actually saw that one (still, online) but the damage had been done after two straight years of hot garbage.

Marvel is almost as dead as Star Wars, at this point. I see a lot of YouTube entertainment channels mention how low the box office numbers are for these movies, are. Hell, Disney in general, is nearly dead.
