I wonder how living 30+ floors up affects the biodiversity of insects.

At first I was thinking "more bugs with wings", but bug density at that altitude is probably pretty thin. More likely are critters you bring in on shoes, clothing, and supplies. Moving in furniture that's not brand new would establish the initial colonies. Depending on critter type and building layout, some migration from adjacent living spaces is likely.

Survey findings revealed that as floor numbers increase, fewer types of insects thrive

30 floors is pretty damn high. I doubt there would be much up there except maybe cockroaches. Do you live in a building that tall? I couldn't even imagine would that would be like.

I live on the 37th floor, so yeah. Apartments in Hong Kong can get a little tall. There are laws requiring the buildings to be shorter than the surrounding mountains
