Then you have an unrealistic model of science.

If it were what you imagine it to be then you could easily verify exactly what all the data is. It would be easily accessible by everyone.

The reality is we had no idea IF the universe was expanding or contracting or standing still when a lot of these models were built and none of them were altered since. There is no way to know if expansion is uniform, if it effects gravity, if it effects time, etc.

The determining factor for what is considered science is not facts and data, but the biased decisions of gatekeepers.
