Couldn't you simply eat precisely the amount of sugar that your body needs for metabolic function? Isn't there really a whole lot going on with satiation besides sugar? Mightn't you be conflating sugar with grains just a teensie bit a la donuts, cookies, cake, cereal, etc?

If people could than they would, but they can't so they are fat.
Isn't there really a whole lot going on with satiation besides sugar?
Sure there is more, but that does not mean this sugar effect is not very powerful.
Mightn't you be conflating sugar with grains just a teensie bit a la donuts, cookies, cake, cereal, etc?
No. Most of those products are loaded with sugar.
Even though carbs are complex sugars they likely wont have the same affect on apetite because they are not naturally found in high fiber foods.
