It's just a different way of thinking, it's not a test to determine NPCs. There's pros and cons. Some people think aphantasia is linked to the ability to speed read. Did you know most people sound out every word they read in an internal monologue and that limits how fast they can read. If you don't have to imagine something, it frees you up to process abstract data faster. That's the idea anyways.

I identify with some of the things the articles said, like thinking counting sheep was a turn of a phrase, and bad spatial memory, although I have the ability to visualize things, I don't generally rely on it.
