Cheap material converts heat to electricity

Will it be possible one day to convert matter to energy and back with no heat loss? Or am I looking at it the wrong way?

This just helps recapture some of the waste heat, I don't think 100% efficiency is possible due to entropy but that's not my wheelhouse.
