I'm fucked. Oh well, I may not live as long, but at least I'm spending my final days in Flavor Country.

Never too late to try!
I know it sounds stupid, but I quit in the weirdest way. I was shopping and I heard two of the employees talking - one dude said "lets go outside" and the other was like "I thought you quit?" and the guy was like "Nah, for food" and his friend said "Good, cause if you were gonna go smoke I was going to powerbomb you."
I laughed and continued on smoking, since I didn't have a friend like that. Instead, I just replayed that stupid moment in my head and thought to myself "do I need a smoke or do I just want a smoke" and "could I justify this smoke-break to a friend trying to help me?". Just quit slowly by toughening up my willpower to resist smokes in the face of more and more stressful situations.
If you need help quitting, I'll power-bomb ya :)

I've tried a number of times to quit. I think it'd stick if my wife would quit with me. It's hard when I smell it on her, see her going out for smokes. She's not interested at all in quitting though. She needs a friend to talk her out of it, she hasn't listened to me. Maybe I'll see about enlisting her friend to the cause.
I also do enjoy smoking a lot. I just got in 2lbs of whole leaf tobacco, sweet virginia flue cured brightleaf. I have an electric tobacco shredder that'll turn the whole leaf into proper shreds. Then maybe I'll toast it, possibly add menthol. It's kind of become a hobby at this point.
What is power bombing?

This lol
Not my sport of choice but hey, whatever helps you quit lmao.
I know what you mean about needing the other person to quit too and I feel for you, maybe show the friend the article and ask them to just bring it up - sorry I can't be of more help :(
Enjoy the leaves for now though, burn one for me :D

You could try switching to a dry herb vape
