There is. I don't think the admins want to spend their time policing NSFW content plus the unwanted attention and being scrutinised by the authorities for illegal content. I don't know what new users think of this but I'm fine with it. There's no shortage of porn on the Internet anyway.

I'm pretty happy with it (as a user who is not new). I generally do not believe in censoring any content, but if the content has high potential to be illegal and doesn't contribute to discussion at all, I think it's better to delete it to avoid legal risk. I also think enforcement of the Pyramid of Debate is a good idea, as it keeps the site non-toxic while not censoring opinions entirely. Generally, I think the current, very limited rules are very good for the site, keeping it from going too badly while also not being too overbearing and bureaucratic.

Personally for the sake of site growth I would think allowing porn would be worth the hassle. VHS got big because of porn, the Internet got big because of porn, etc. If you can do everything on this site it just makes it more appealing IMO.
