This doesn't sound like something Descartes would've said. Which book is this from?

According to https://reddit.com/comments/1j3ycg/comment/cbb48uo, the book of 4chan. Original comment, for posterity:

This is not a Descartes quote, this is a quote 4chan came up with and attributed to Descartes as a joke.

/u/Magnora7, I think we made a goof here!

Edit: According to the Wikiquote talk page:

The original source for this quote, as far as I can tell, is a Y Combinator user named DarkShikari. See https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1011498.

So I guess 4chan made the attribution, while the actual author of the quote was DarkShikari.

Interesting, could be! Thanks for checking that out. I also had no idea ycombinator and hackernews was that old... did you know the guy who made hackernews also invented the pyramid of debate?

Did you know that the guy who invented the pyramid is portraited in 1999's "The Mummy"?

Are there really that many communities getting laughs by pretending to be idiots? Did the Three Stooges constitute a community? This seems like a non issue, and a fake quote.
