While these words are true, Bertrand was anti christian, a socialist and participated in socialist activities in Germany before WW1, who then decided to go to prison instead of fighting (more loss of tax payer money for his self indulgence), romantised the russian revolution, wasn't man enough to engage his wife and divorced (4 times, IE 4 different women), wrote a book about how marriage should become "liberal", first sided with hitler, then turned against him because he didn't want to be the odd one out, he supported zionism, thought the bombing of japan was way better than fighting the USSR, despite idolising them and turning against hitler, then attended anti nuclear protests

The guy was a fuckwit and a stain on humanity.

Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible…” —-Bertrand Russell, “The Impact of Science on Society”, 1953, 49-50 Available via Google Books
