"celt" is just some accepted term. It means nothing, unfortunately, unless one is arguing from the modern Jewish scholarly perspective most on this thread seem to use.

The human sacrifice thing is so shaky. People really should change their understanding of these clan-based cultures.

There is a reason they were wiped out, and it's not because they were godless, human-eating, baby-slaying, hunter gathering nitwits like many here think.

The people were many other things, not Celts. That word, celt, comes from one specific group, and has been used as an umbrella term for a long time.

Also, I am a mutt. My other half is gypsy, which means literally a mixture of everywhere my gypsy ancestors wandered. Lots of French, Spanish, and Iranian, unfortunately.

I don't have a problem with the term celt being used, but it needs to be made clear that it is literally a word that is used to group in a bunch of different people....Just like the term "Native American". I hate that term. Natives to America?

America is Rome. I'd prefer to refer to places in America by State, and the Natives by their actual people group.

They were all so different, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a brick. I've met so many different kinds of Natives, and some are indeed psychopathic alcoholic whiners (just like some white folks I know) while others are proud to be who they are, and they know their own history better than some biased fool.

There was human sacrifice happening in some Gaelic speaking tribes, and in some Native tribes. To try to say they all did that is a fucking lie.

Same with everyone in the US, including myself, LOL.

Oh, okay. When I said "Celts" I was referring to people who practiced Celtic religions.

    Yep... and it's super dumb.

Most people in the world are mutts, but how many are going to get past that and treat their history with the respect it deserves?

    Yep
