The problem is, most people focus on reasons to push this topic aside. There is no perspective, no awareness of context. The choice has already been made by many. Ignore it and justify shitty behavior done either by the Natives (left) or the imperialists (right).

I agree with both of you.

This lady has no foundation to speak from, unless she were to be very very careful, and she isn't.

But damn. Looking at the comments on this thread really drives the point home. America is the new Rome, and slaves taken to Rome didn't start calling themselves Roman. Some of the places conquered by Rome didn't wholly roll over and die, though some did. Why are so many people proud to be an American? The first Americans were mostly people who had been forced from their lands who then allowed for their enemies to trick them into forcing others from their lands.

If an intelligent Native with solid views on race and morality rose up to lead the people, I would join. Depending on their tribe of origin, they'd have the moral high ground.

I agree with you though. I don't have the right to simply kick out those who dwell in the lands of my ancestors. It's been many generations since all that jazz.

However, the damages are still felt today, which is why folks in America need to wake up to what happened. The dominoes are still falling. We should embolden the Natives, rather than laugh at them for being tricked and slain.

Lol. I seriously dont care how fat she is. But I do in fact sympathize with NAs. I really do. The current crop of them though are however significantly white, and they are basically beggars that live off gambling and government handouts. I understand why that happened. Their way of life, which was hunter gatherer, was destroyed. They evolved to be hunter gatherer. Genetically. They were not evolved to be good europeans.

The only ones that get attention are the ones that whine and beg really loud. I assume this chick makes a career out of that.

They will generally never have solid views on morality as you and I think of it, because their society had totally different values. They were more opportunistic in their life strategy, which made sense for them in that environment. I think they will continue to be opportunistic.

I read a study from the 1950s or so that compared whites’, natives’ and blacks’ performance on a personality test for psychopathy. Natives basically scored similar to blacks. A lot of psychopathic traits. I think it was done by the state of Minnesota or Wisconsin or one of those. I was pretty surprised.

There are so many assumptions and generalizations in this. I really want to go through and talk about this with you because you seem like a good user.

But, I'm not going to lie. This type of stupidity pisses me off. There were so many different groups living here, that to fucking group them together is such a sham. And yet, you made a comment on this thread concerning generalizing white people.

Hey I forgot to reply to you on this the other day. What do you think Im getting wrong? We can message if you prefer. Im open to your insights.

I do know that some groups were highly agriculturalist and somewhat urbanized while others were highly nomadic. I believe different strategies can have a pretty significant effect on culture and behavioral traits over a relatively short period.

But I also know that American populations with high levels of native admixture have pretty high crime and poverty which I do know is largely genetic. And I know that you can make a pretty good living being a member of some tribes. Which is grift IMO.
