Yup.

As for the quote in question, it is quite possibly misattributed, like so many other quotes. Here is one possible explanation: Twain kept a diary of his musings and asked that it not be published until a hundred years after his death in 1910 and his wishes were followed. That might explain the confusion. I have not read the book...yet.
