The only country? No. This goes for the legacy media in the entire western world. They are no longer the "watchdogs of the people" (if they ever were). Instead, they're propaganda outlets for the labour parties of Europe and the Dems in the US — and they've been slipping even further left in the past five or so years.

I'm better off not trusting the old media, for how spiteful and arrogant they act towards anyone that doesn't suck up to them 100% of the time. And most of them are probably old out of touch scumbags anyways.

Not the only country. Americans probably think this is a big deal because they used to have freedom once. But the truth is, all over the world, governments would like to control everything in existence. Big media is absolutely horrible all over the world, which is why the internet was much better in its initial days. Brands, governments and other jokers didn't yet control it like they did with television and newspaper. Once it became big enough it became overtly moderated, regulated, censored and... Shitty.
