Absolutely nothing would more threaten or shakeup the establishment or "ZioCon" than the adoption of Friedman's ideas. The politicians you associate with Friedman use his ideas like a sword for government programs they dislike (like welfare, USAID, etc) but ignore him when it comes to national security and economic policy. It's insane that right wing minds, who should know better than anyone the duplicity of the media, have bought into socialist propaganda painting true capitalism as some kind of Gilded Age hellscape.
