It's difficult to respond to something like this. You begin with the false premises that he is an idiot and that his supporters are a cult. Your language is inflammatory and rude. It seems pointless to attempt to answer you as you are not likely to respond to rational argument.

But I'm a sucker for this sort of thing so here goes.

  1. Trump is not an idiot. He managed to beat an entire field of strong Republican candidates during the primary and he managed to beat Hillary in the general election. He, rightly, chose where to focus his campaign resources and targeted states with critical electoral votes and populations with whom his message would resonate.

  2. His followers are not a cult. They are people who have been waiting their entire lives for a candidate who would actually say what they think and who actually appears to care about them rather than someone who cares more about criminals and illegal aliens.

  3. As far as Trump's supporters go, we're pretty damn happy with him, particularly his America First approach.

  4. He's also the first President in most of our lifetimes who hasn't gotten us involved in foreign wars and has actually drawn down our presence in foreign theaters.

  5. His low tax agenda does great things for jobs and his deregulation has helped small businesses across the country to survive and grow. Until COVID we had the best economy most of us have experienced in our lives.

  6. He supports law and order, something democrats clearly don't. This is huge to us. We don't want violent rabble destroying our businesses and homes.

  7. He believes in local control and delegated power. For COVID his people made recommendations but did not give orders. For the riots he is offering assistance but isn't invading areas of social unrest except to defend federal property.

You didn't even read the link. You read a few lines, or even a paragraph and now you're parroting fox news. Bye

I was responding to your comment which, itself, has nothing to do with tbe 1822 letter linked above. Disingenuous fool.

The ec gave Trump the election. He lost the popular vote by something like 3 million votes. Still doesn't explain how 30% of Americans are racist and ignorant

Try researching how Trump stole the election. Still don't understand how many seemingly smart people support the obese con man.

No. Republicans don't understand they are not above the law. Try reading this.

Not all knowledge is created equal. One can be extremely knowledgeable about a thousand things and be dominated by someone knowledgeable about manipulation. One can be extremely intelligent and still gullible.

That is usually not the case. It is mostly just other people too dumb to understand the reasons of the other person attributing that logic to them while the other person has very valid reasons to look down on someone else. It seems that the people who think with their heart and not with their brain can't simply be reasoned with, they lack the faculties to overcome their emotional response. It is very easy to manipulate those people once you know how.

The perfect example is a recent "prove me wrong" by Crowder. Some "screamer" on a motorcycle is making noise to drown out the conversation with a black girl, logic obviously doesn't work. Crowder starts chanting "stop silencing black voices" and that works. You can craft an emotional argument that makes no logical sense and it works, but the most intelligent non emotional argument wont.
