I would say something more like "many people on both sides screech when you tell them the truth." I believe there are truth telling conservatives and leftists. And I know moderates/centrists that can't handle hearing true information. In other words, I don't think any section of the political spectrum has the monopoly on rationality and kindness. I do think we should encourage the development of both qualities across the political spectrum.
