Yes, and the "politically correct" movement came directly out of Marxist rhetoric of the early 20th century. To be clear, I am not a Marxist although I can see how it would appeal to idealistic young people of today. The lesson of history tells us it does not work and has never worked. Politically correct is the opposite of free speech.

Many nowadays ascribe to "your rights end where my feelings begin" and it's just backwards.
