I think all censorship should be deplored. My position is that bits are not a bug

That we should create communications technologies that allow people to send whatever they like to each other.

And when people put their thumbs on the scale and try to say what can and can’t be sent,

we should fight back - both politically through protest and technologically through software

The reason this idea is so threatening to so many is because there is a lot of money hanging in the balance at the very least. There's also a lot of power and control to be had, it complicates things immensely

I get the feeling that Saidit is what he wanted Reddit to be but that is just my opinion...

I sure hope so. I really wish I could hear his opinions on reddit in 2020, it's such a shame he passed
