Yes, except that it has been a long time since police even pretend to "protect and serve." They are literally trained to see us as enemy combatants. Even in small rural police departments.

Even the Supreme Court said that "protect and serve" was just a meaningless slogan they weren't beholden to in any way.

This all boils down to justice for police. We have very harsh justice in this country, unless you are rich or police. Police shouldn't be exempt from law because that means eventually corruption will become systemic in those supposed to enforce the law.

Yeah and they also said it's ok during hiring for police to bar anyone with over 125 IQ as well.

They've gone out of their way to make police full obedient grunts who do not care for public safety.

Until I saw the picture, instantly recognizing who it was because I LOVED the BSG reboot (the last season was underwhelming, though), I thought this was a quote from one of the Founding Fathers, an ex-president or some other person of importance. Lol!
