What a load of crap. George Carlin had some great lines, but he was a left-wing idealist. Like all left-wing idealists, they can never, ever see their perfect society realized. And what do idealists do when they understand that they won't see perfection? Hate. Pure, creative hate. They'll take whatever they don't like and gin up hatred about it, even if it's uncalled-for. They're not being rational, they're not being thoughtful. They're just pouring out their negative emotions on everyone else in an attempt to make us unhappy, too. After all, if they can't have their perfect society, why should anyone else get to enjoy our imperfect one?

George Carlin doesn't like commerce? The business of America is business. He should have found another country to live in.

America was turned from an untracked wilderness into the world's most amazing country. Any other people would have turned it into either Mexico, a country of unfulfilled potential, or China, an overpopulated shithole. The Americans created something special, a country that feeds the world, and one that's self-sufficient in energy as well. I'm not the only one who noticed this:

Is it a misfortune that magnificent California was seized from the lazy Mexicans who did not know what to do with it?
