Agreed, but when a person reveals that they have differing opinions on politics, faith, philosophy, and other subjects I engage then to understand how they came to their conclusions. Oftentimes those answers hint at the persons views, values, and psychology. This tends to better aid me in placing their actions into perspective to determine how deeply internalized those leanings are expressed.
