And I can attest to that being true. Saidit wouldn't exist if I hadn't actively pursued my interest to build a new website. 2 years later and here we are, the 2nd largest reddit alternative after voat.

This is the truth but if you hate the truth you will hate this. God bless.

Something something is 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration.

Not every pursued interest becomes a talent though. The latter requires getting your hands very dirty!

Good point. I think maybe the difference is how persistent you are in that pursuit!

Yep! Persistence through will is our best internal resource.

But externally- time, probabilities and luck is the cornerstone; with time inevitably being the double edged sword that works against you and your interests/talent in the long run.

I agree. And I have found persistence cannot be arbitrarily manufactured in the long run. It must arise from natural interest in the subject, and you cannot pretend to be interested in something you are not over the long run. This is why going after your dreams is so important, because only your true dreams can provide the interest, which creates the opportunity for persistence. My 2 cents

I'll take your 2 cents and give you this cookie because you are right about those things!

I generally agree, but there might be some other factors at play. Such as being born with "perfect pitch," for instance. Not everybody has that. Perhaps interests are started in the womb? Or even before conception?
