it's insanity that being under age 35 prevents you from being president, but abusing the financial, legal and social systems (and the people that you contracted to build your businesses, and that you owe money to) by filing for bankruptcy for your own personal gain does not.

Agreed. There are many loopholes and exploits within the financial system that have spawned many debased versions of success! You also have the illegitimate drug trade, trafficking and usury- but as long as you can keep a legitimate front on the books and shy away from the law, you can play both sides as a total sleaze! Very many organizations started off that way in history to develop the "old money" they have now.

Of-course, everyone still believes that banks are good honest hard-working institutions. Some of them might be.

But actually it is possible and represents the beauty of Democracy: the more people are involved, the more expensive it becomes for the rich to maintain the status quo.

I feel these types of critiques are ironic. We have some corruption, but we live in a more stable and progressive era of any in history. We have demonstrated that reform through Democracy and peaceful protest is possible in this era.

So why do so many people still romanticize the guillotine?

People will always romanticize the guillotine, it may even be a physiological issue. But the key is to not let it muddle clear minded thinking and support hap-hazard decision making policy.

Also, I would argue that the basis of this "democracy" might be a reason for the people's penchant to blood-lust. Demo's can be based on military interventionism and scapegoating people of a different type as hostile. People tend to get a little desensitized to violence after some time and therefore see solutions in a barbaric live/die scenario as way to protect their freedoms insular.

In many ways the quote can be spot on, but who does this woman think are the rich?? Considering she was an anarcho communist, I'm guessing Soros style wealth is ignored, and applauded; while the guy down the street who worked his ass off is the appointed target of her delusional rage.
