Self-preservation is great until you breed. Then your insane view of the world produces dummies who will attempt to create an act of political warfare on behalf of you.

Define "caring for myself". Self-preservationists are mediocre parents at best.

What's worse than socialism, or classical liberalist capitalism with good social welfare programs and progressive taxes or at the very least have corporations pay their corporate tax is crony-capitalism in a corportocracy.
