Bill Hicks became a nihilist at the end of his life as did Geroge Carlin, in which they just stuck their middle finger up to the world. I'm disappointed in them for that.

As for the quote. I think it concerns geopolitical, economical, geographical, ideology and religious views more than it does da' feelz good part. I do not even think they really feel, empathy, so why would they feel good about starting a war? They do it because they want to, and they do it for the reasons stated above. The feeling good part is just the aftereffect. It doesn't really account for the why and how.

Well I'm not sure they were nihilists, as they cared enough to do their stand up show to help wake others up.

For money. They did at the end of their comedy careers become negative nancies, espeically Hicks who basically told everyone to go F' themselves. I still listen to Carlin though, other than his attack on religion, which he is on point most of the time, though he completely disregards the differene between religion of true christianity and christs preachings and teachings to that of Christiandom.
