Like for example /r/politics on reddit becoming controlled, both by shilling groups and by corrupt moderators.

Reddit has come a long way in its time hasn't it. These days it feels like a very different place than when I signed up in 2011

it's not a tiny website for enthusiasts. it's a mega site that is being gamed for profit and marketing.
