The great genius of Aaron is that he totally saw this coming, and that's why he made the code for reddit open source, and why he made it so accessible for others. So when reddit inevitably failed, sites like saidit could come along and pick up where old reddit left off. The guy was really looking ahead.

Fucking awesome. I'm looking forward to watching Reddit die like Myspace, and seeing the replacements, like Saidit, come fill the void.

Us too. To carry on the tradition, we made the saidit open source easy for others to use and set up their own similar reddit-like sites but with all the fixes and upgrades we've done over the last couple of years: https://github.com/libertysoft3/saidit
