There should be no regulations on drugs of any kind. That said, I'm not sure MDMA is the right one for this. I could be wrong though.

I believe this drug might be helpful for some people, such as terminal cancer patients, or people suffering from PTSD, and I always support the legalization of these substances for informed and consenting adults...

However, I am irritated that MDMA still seems to be so much less stigmatized than LSD, even though LSD is safer, far less neurotoxic and has its own promising applications. Same thing with Ketamine, this has dubious safety and efficacy compared to psilocybin and LSD, yet was legalized before any of these other things where I am in California

I still feel like there is a lot of stigmatism rather than evidence based science happening in this area, even if things are improving somewhat

Totally, I've appreciated your posts on psychedelic research (you post some great stuff in general), and agree it is good to disseminate all the studies on a topic where we really need more data. I haven't read the full study yet either, just wanted the readers to approach this with a healthy level of skepticism given the Journal in question, and remind people that correlation is not causation.

I don't know about the veracity of this study.

They don't show causation. It is probably that people who are depressed to begin with are more likely to have used LSD in the past year.
It was published in the Journal of Addictive Behaviors, a highly biased source

I used make LOTS of trip tapes. Usually with better pacing. I was a VHS trip-master guru. I don't have the tapes but I still have the notes. I am shocked there's not more of it on YouTube, though I haven't looked. I grew out of it. I haven't tripped for years. I wouldn't mind doing it once a year and ketamine and/or DMT twice a month.
