Nothing happened to Jon Stewart. He is terrific at exposing the corruption and hypocrisy of people he has ideological disagreements with (the right). Now that his ideological neighbors are doing the corruption and hypocrisy, he has nothing to say about it.

We have seen this with many on the left, Michael Moore also comes to mind. Great with the 9/11 stuff during the Bush Era, but not so much on anything that was liberals fault that came afterwards

Almost NOBODY in the media believes in the principles they claim to be supporting, they believe in the politics of power played as a team sport. Our team good, other team evil and destroying the country. This just happened to coincide with the truth for a brief time the during Bush years, which made it appear Stewart was an upstanding teller of truths rather than a partisan shill practicing ideological warfare
