It reminds me of the DNC's primary election civil suit, where they successfully argued the case was moot, as they had no formal requirement to have fair primary elections, infamously stating, they were well within their right to “go into back rooms like they used to and smoke cigars and pick the candidate that way.” This case was the result of Bernie Sanders supporters feeling Debbie Wasserman Schultz rigged the primaries for Hillary Clinton.

I guess what really irks me is purportedly objective news outlets, never writing objectively any more. This has a clear tone of assuming guilt. It seems like media, even those expected to be objective, have picked a side and write as if their team is assumed innocent and the other team is assumed guilty....then all large news outlets eventually joined the same side.
