I mean war is humanity. We have been at war with each other since the beginning of time and not once have we strived for world peace through means other than brute force.

Early man was brutal raids upon each other, rocks, sticks, hardened bones and shar implements of death.

Then we gain firepower and we have basic gun battles.

Then we create vehicles, now we fight with tanks and planes.

Now we have technology and we fight with information.

The ONLY way war will cease is if there is one ruler who has absolute control over the world. Otherwise war will continue and never go away. Humans will be Humans own destruction.

That one ruler is Jesus, but the world will choose the antichrist first, who promises peace and safety, but then sudden destruction comes upon them.

Religion is not the answer, in-fact, I argue that religious is a cause of just as much war and strife. Religion is just as evil.

Religious people killed Jesus on the cross. Where? Jerusalem, Israel.

I follow Jesus, who never physically attacked any man and teaches all men to love one another.

Luke
9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

You follow Christianity, Catholism or Judaism, which neither of those three have clean hands. All three have committed atrocities and acted upon wars of religious reasons.

Let's play though.

2 Chronicles 15:12-13 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul, but that whoever would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

Leviticus 20:27 “A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”

Leviticus 20:10 “If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Deuteronomy 17:12 The man who acts presumptuously by not obeying the priest who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall purge the evil from Israel.

Shall I continue? Because your "Jesus" surely did attack people, he wanted them dead even if it's men who wrote that, they wrote that following him

All religions of the world are corrupt.  Men have distorted God's word to justify their own lusts.

God told both the Jews and the Christians:  Do not seek revenge on your enemies.  Wait on the Lord, and he shall avenge you.  (Romans 12:19, Deuteronomy 32:35)  The problem we see is men making wars when God never told them to fight.

The man Jesus, as the Son of God, never physically attacked anyone.  If he had, you would have given Bible verses, but you could not find any, so you turned to the Old Testament to see how he, as Jehovah, purged evil from the land.  But you could read prophecies from the New Testament also, where he says he will purge evil from the whole earth, and already is, bringing true peace to those that want it.

And what is wrong with that?  Should he allow evil to continue to curse us for ever?  Wait on the Lord, and he will defend you and deliver you out of the hand of your enemies.  Those who are evil and curse their fellow human beings do not want God to put an end to their wicked play time.

What side are you on? Do you hate war? Then we are on the same side.

Psalms 120:7
I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.

Jesus wants people to live, not die. Men find death when they choose sin instead of righteousness. But Jesus died for us, so we may be forgiven, and receive eternal life.

God told both the Jews and the Christians: Do not seek revenge on your enemies. Wait on the Lord, and he shall avenge you. (Romans 12:19, Deuteronomy 32:35) The problem we see is men making wars when God never told them to fight. Men have distorted God's word to justify their own lusts.

Right after you said...

God told both the Jews and the Christians: Do not seek revenge on your enemies. Wait on the Lord, and he shall avenge you. (Romans 12:19, Deuteronomy 32:35) The problem we see is men making wars when God never told them to fight.

So which is it, do you follow gods word or did man distort gods word?

YOU can not cherry pick, if you say man distorted gods word, YOU do not know which of his words were distorted. They could have been very evil and they were distorted to look happier, vice versa.

That is my issue with you religious idiots. You contradict your self in the same fucking breath.

NOTHING you say in your comment is valid after you contradicted your self.

If man distorted gods word, and you were not alive to hear god or jesus speak, then you can not decide which of his words were distorted or not. That is called confirmation bias, you are using what you feel confirms your views as "correct gods words" but the reality is this, its a book that was written by man... and none of it is verifiable or true. What is true, is the carnage and death left in the wake of "your god" which you can not disavow, as it is part of your religious history.

You copied and pasted the same thing twice. Did you mean to do that? The point you tried to make is lost.

I would like to hear you answer my question: Do you also hate war, like me?

[–]Totoro 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I did not, I was saying you said men distorted gods word yet you act as if you know gods word, you can not claim his words are distroted but know which have been and have not been, especially to suit your life.

War is horrible, yes, but to preach that religion is free of war was idiotic.

[–]In-the-clouds[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

We agree then that war is horrible (and that is also in agreement with God). I said religion is corrupt. And you obviously agree with me (and God) there again. Remember, Jesus came to fulfill the law, but was killed by the religious leaders. Jesus is not your enemy, but the religious are.

Men use God's word to fulfill their lusts, but God's word is pure. It is not God who is evil, but man.
