I watched the beginning of that interview. It's a good example of how the establishment media operate. Veronica made the idealistic choice to try to use a broad-based platform to gain viewership for her perspective, but she didn't realize until too late that this is impossible in a rigged game. It really sucks, because every time the establishment does this, they build the pressure toward explosion a little more. The more people like Veronica (and myself) who become totally disillusioned that dialog is possible, the options toward a peaceful solution diminish by that amount.

The simple rule I now see with regards to establishment media - and well over half of the "independents" (often a mythical category) - is to know that their job is about power; it is not about truth. They are absolutely uninterested in examining the truth of any issue, only the power they can siphon from it. When we don't expect truth in what we see/hear from them, what they present makes a great deal more sense.

True.

I recall a nearly identical scenario, pulled by the BBC on some 9/11 Truthers, invited for some dialogue over several days.

The golden era of truth-seeking may be over. The fact remains: authoritarianism is the enemy of everything.
